Inside the GFSG Community

Our communities work because members show up for each other. Here's where to post, how questions work, and what we ask of everyone who's part of these groups.

Two Groups, Two Purposes

GFSG Community

GFSG Community. Your first stop for general questions, introductions, travel tips, restaurant recommendations, and support. If you're not sure where something belongs, post it here.

GFSG food ingredients

GFSG Local Food & Ingredients. The place for anything about what's actually in your food: specific dishes, ingredients, sauces, hawker stalls, and label reading. If your question is "is this gluten-free," this is usually the right group.

You'll see overlap with the courses here, ingredients and hawker food come up in both. That's intentional, and we explain why in Where to Find Everything in Your Membership Library.

Before You Post

Have a quick search first. Chances are good someone has already asked your exact question, and a search saves you time and keeps the group easy to browse for everyone else too.

If you can't find an answer, go ahead and ask. No question is too small. Every person in this community started exactly where you are.

How Posts Work

Every post in the group can be commented on, so join in wherever you like. Questions work a little differently.

Create questions posts under the Questions tab. This keeps things organized and easy to search later. A moderator may move your question into the right category if it lands somewhere else, so don't worry too much about getting it perfect.

Add your comments under any post. If someone shares a win, a photo, or a recommendation, feel free to jump in there too.

How We Treat Each Other

Be kind, always. Assume good intent, and extend the same patience to others that you'd want extended to you.

Show up for each other. This community works because members answer members. If you know the answer to someone's question, or you've been through what they're going through, jump in. Commenting and helping others is one of the most valuable things you can do here.

Share your experience, not a diagnosis. You can absolutely say "this worked for me" or "I'd avoid that." What we ask you not to do is tell another member what they do or don't have, medically. That's between them and their doctor.

No fear-mongering. It's fine, and helpful, to flag a real risk. It's not helpful to pile on with worst-case stories that leave someone more anxious than informed.

No judgment for slip-ups. Living gluten-free in Singapore is hard. If someone shares that they got glutened, or made a mistake, meet them with support, not criticism.

Keep it on topic. Personal promotion, unrelated advertising, or spam isn't welcome here. If you run a gluten-free business and want to share it with the group, reach out to the admins first. They are happy to support local gluten-free heroes.

Keep resources members-only. Guides, downloads, and PDFs shared in the library and the community are part of your paid membership. Please don't share them outside GFSG, more on why in A Quick Reminder About Sharing Your Membership Resources.

Something Feel Off?

If you see a post that crosses a line, or you're having a problem with another member, don't engage publicly. Message the group admins directly, or reach out through the contact page, and we'll look into it.

A Note on Medical Advice

Everything shared in these groups comes from real experience, real research, and the collective knowledge of the community. It is not a substitute for professional medical care. If you have concerns about your diagnosis, symptoms, or treatment, please talk to your doctor.
